IDMobile is a Just Another "Me Too" Mobile Network

Ireland has been promised two new mobile phone networks - the first of which was launched this week.

IDMobile is the new service being offered by CarPhoneWarehouse, and with a flashy website and lots of PR about how they have researched what customers want, I was eagerly waiting for news of the service, especially as Understanding MVNO’s Can Reduce Your Mobile Phone Bill.

Well if IDMobile is what customers want, then all Irish cellphone customer want is a slightly cheaper plan and sliders to increase/decrease the amount of calls, text and data they prepay.

The big feature from IDMobile's UK site, which is not being offered in Ireland is a roaming package. This package means you can take your phone abroad to Europe, use data from your plan like being at home, and also use your minutes and texts to keep in touch with your contacts back home.

So until IDMobile become more creative and disrupt the Irish Mobile market, they are of no more interest than a price comparison option!
